One of these came from the AI you already use. Pick the one you would trust.
“My metabolism has slowed down now that I'm past 40. What should I change to counteract it?”
Yes, but probably less than it feels like.
Prioritize resistance training. Lift 2–4 times a week and progressively challenge the major muscle groups.
Increase protein. A useful general target for an active adult is roughly 1.2–1.6 g/kg of body weight per day.
Walk more … Something like 7,000–10,000 steps/day is a reasonable target.
I am working from a general pattern, not your pattern.
My vault has no curated sources specifically on age-related metabolic decline … label it plausible-mechanism, not confirmed protocol.
“Metabolism has slowed down” is a self-diagnosis, not a baseline. I won’t build a plan on it.
Without them, this is a sketch, not a prescription.
